Born of Drift and Decay

This sculpture features mushrooms crafted from driftwood collected along the beaches of Goleta, California. Each piece of wood was chosen for its organic shape and weathered texture, then carefully drilled, glued, and assembled to form natural, mushroom-like structures. The work transforms remnants of the ocean’s movement into symbols of growth and renewal, connecting the cycles of sea and soil.
